POSITION
Full-time Entry-Level Purchasing Staff

JOB SUMMARY
Provides purchasing support including requesting and receiving quotes, sending purchase orders, receiving order acknowledgements, and following up with vendors. Organizing paperwork, maintaining inventory systems, and creating invoices.

POSITION FUNCTIONS
• Request quotes and creating purchase orders to vendors.
• Ensure timely receipt of vendor offers so as to obtain material by the due date
• Review vendor provided order acknowledgements for accuracy of information including timely complete description of items, delivery lead time, material quantities, expected pricing, etc.
• Updating internal system with expected dates, notes, and appropriate work order status to properly notify involved parties of material availability
• Daily reporting to confirm existing procurement work orders are on track to be executed in accordance with normal processes and procedures
• Resolve issues and conflicts related to all merchandise purchased
• Processing of all documents related to receiving and shipping and providing backup to other process functions as well as operational duties
• Warehouse operations (receiving, inspection, stocking, packing preparation, packaging, marking, document preparation, unloading and loading)
• Ensure all packaging meets company standards
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with freight companies
• Perform cycle counting and stock verification

REQUIREMENTS
• Associates Degree or equivalent education / experience
• Ability to communicate both verbally and through writing in a professional, courteous and knowledgeable manner
• Capacity to prioritize tasks according to deadlines and urgency and complete them in a timely and professional manner
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player capable of building long-term relationships with customers and co-workers
• Must be fluent in English
• At times, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
• Must be eligible to work legally in the United States

Work hours: Full-time M-F 8am-5pm
Salary: Negotiable
