한영 서한 보내…”상원 대표해 조지아 한인, 한국 전체에 위로”
존 오소프 연방상원의원 (민주, 조지아)은 30일 한인 언론에 보낸 서한을 통해 “아내인 알리샤와 나는 서울에서 일어난 비극적 이태원 사고에 충격을 받고 깊이 슬퍼하고 있다”며 “조지아주와 미국 상원을 대표해 희생자 가족, 사랑하는 조지아주 한인들, 그리고 대한민국 전체에 깊은 애도를 표한다” 밝혔다.
다음은 오소프 의원이 보내온 영문 서한이다.
“Alisha and I are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic incident in Seoul. On behalf of the state of Georgia and the U.S. Senate, I send my deepest condolences to the families of the victims, my beloved Korean-American constituents in Georgia, and the entire Republic of Korea.”
