메탄올 함유 59종…모두 멕시코에서 제조
손소독제(hand sanitizer) 성분인 에탄올 대신 인체에 유해한 메탄올을 함유한 제품 59종이 FDA(식품의약국)에 의해 추가로 사용금지 리스트에 추가됐다.
FDA는 11일 “이들 제품 가운데 일부는 리콜됐지만 나머지는 여전히 시판되고 있다”면서 “만약 가정에 해당 제품이 있다면 사용을 중지하고 리턴하라”고 밝혔다.
FDA에 따르면 해당 제품들은 모두 멕시코에서 제조됐으며 성분 표기에 에탄올이라고 적혀 있지만 사실은 메탄올이 함유돼 있다고 경고했다.
해당 제품의 리스트는 다음과 같다.
